Miyo’s Restaurant is located in Hilo, in the Manono Marketplace shopping center on 564 Hinano Street (across from Big Island Candies) – just five minutes from the Hilo International Airport. Our restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

Miyo Harumi, chef, and proprietor of Miyo’s, grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and came to the U.S. when she was nineteen in order to broaden her horizons. Through her experience of living in Japan and America, Miyo developed her own culinary style.

Cooking has always been her passion and meditation.

A local favorite, Miyo’s Restaurant has served the Hilo area since 1987. Residing in the Waiakea Villas complex for twenty-six years, the restaurant was relocated in 2012 to the new Manono Marketplace, across from Big Island Candies. Many friends rolled up their creative sleeves to transform an empty shell into what it is today.
